With the beginning of new academic year in Iran, Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian’s acclaimed movie will be screened in Iranian universities concurrent with the public screening of the flick in cinema theatres across the country.

‘Trace of Blood’ has reportedly set opening box office record in Iran with 13,000,000,000 Rials, beating the previous opening records.

It is also reported that some more epic films are scheduled to go on screen at universities shortly afterwards. Some of the much-applauded titles include ‘Damascus Time’, ‘The Lost Strait’, ‘Bodyguard’ and ‘Cyanide.  

‘Trace of Blood’ is a sequel to Mahdavian’s ‘Midday Adventures’ with a theme on the events after Iraq-Iran war and Mersad Operation.

Mahdavian’s movie has attended the main competition section of the 37th Fajr Film Festival and succeeded to sit on the list of the top 10 audience choices. This is while the film has also grabbed the attention of many cinema critics.

Mohsen Kiaee, Javad Ezzati, Hasti Mahdavifar, Behnoush Tabatabaee, Hadi Hejazifar, and Hossein Mehri are on the cast list.
